January 2024 – Klondike Derby

On 12-14 January 2024, Troop 77 attended the Transatlantic Council’s Klondike Derby at Kandersteg International Scout Centre, nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Over the course of the weekend, we mixed with many other BSA troops from Germany and Switzerland, as well as learned and demonstrated many scout-related skills such as first aid, fire starting, and even knot tying in the snowy mountains.

We were all very busy doing such exciting activities, and one of our patrols, the Flaming Marmottes, even won the competition overall, taking home the trophy once again!

We had a wonderful time in beautiful scenery, and look forward to defending the title next year!
