April Service Sunday at Chatman & Compagnie

On the 30th of April we where at the refuge Chatman et Compagnie. It is a refuge for old and ill animals like cats, dogs, horses and goats. There are 50 cats,  5 dogs, 6 goats and 2 horses.

The scouts helped to clean the animals and the barn and cleaned the woods. They also built shelters for the animals who are living outside.

We walked animals and had great time together. It is important for animals that someone brushes them and feeds them and cleans their boxes, but it is also important for them to communicate. Many scouts found new friends on this event!

Many scouts brought a packet of cat food with them to help the refuge owners Jeff and Virginie. At the very end all the scouts got an empty can of cat food, everyone planted a flower in it and took it with them, together with a sticker from the refuge as a nice memory.

It was really fun!
