There are many youth organizations to chose from, such as sports clubs, service clubs and educational programs.
As volunteers, we salute these organizations for their work with young people.
The Scouting program goes above and beyond and provides activities that:
- encourage scouts to try new things,
- nurture a love for the outdoors,
- advocate service to others,
- build self-confidence,
- foster new friendships,
- emphasize teamwork,
- cultivate citizenship,
- promote leadership skills, and most importantly,
- are LOTS of fun!
Scouts aim to follow the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto and Scout Slogan in the hopes that this prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them these values.
If you are between the ages of 11-17 and live in Geneva, Western Vaud, or Neighboring France, why not join Troop 77?
We are the oldest BSA Troop in the Geneva area. We work together with Troop 130, whose members are based mostly in Vaud (between Commugny and Nyon) and Neighboring France. If you are younger, look into joining Geneva’s cub Scout Pack (Pack 130 Geneva).
To find out more about Troop 77 and the Scouting program in the Lac Léman region have a look through our website, follow us on facebook, or contact us by email (troop77geneva@icloud.com). In Spring and Fall it is also possible to come out to an event.
To join Scouts for the first time you will be asked to create an account with My.Scouting.Org. From there as a new or returning scout, you can enter your and your scout’s details and pay a portion of the annual dues (see FAQ pages) by visiting the links:
