Troop 77 Alumni & Friends

For decades, Troop 77 has given young people in Geneva a home in Scouting America. If you were once a Scout here, a parent, a leader, a merit badge counselor or simply a friend of the Troop, you are part of that story, and we would love to stay in touch.

Why join?

The Troop 77 Alumni network is a group of people who want to help today's Scouts have the same adventures they did. There is no cost and no obligation. You decide how, and how much, you would like to help.

  • Share your skillsCounsel a merit badge, give a talk, or help on a campout.
  • Open doorsSuggest venues, contacts or opportunities in Switzerland and beyond.
  • Stay connectedHear about Courts of Honour, Eagle ceremonies and Troop milestones.
  • Support the TroopHelp with equipment, events or Friends of Scouting.
Part of a national community. Troop 77 Alumni is linked to Scouting Alumni, the official alumni program of Scouting America for former Scouts, parents, volunteers, leaders and supporters. You are welcome to register with them as well. That is separate from this form, and we do not pass your details on to them.

Privacy notice for the Troop 77 Alumni sign-up

    What we collect

Your first name, last name and email address, the date and time you signed up, and your agreement to this notice. We do not ask for any other information.

    Why we use it

Only to keep in touch with you about the Troop 77 Alumni & Friends network: news about the Troop, events, and ways you can volunteer or support our Scouts. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it for anything else.

    Who sees it

    • The Troop 77 Scoutmaster and the Troop leaders and committee members who coordinate the Alumni network.

We do not pass your details to Scouting America, Scouting Alumni (scoutingalumni.org) or any other organisation. If you want to join Scouting Alumni, you can register with them directly.

    How long we keep it

For as long as you remain part of the Alumni network. If you ask us to remove you, we delete your details. We also review the list from time to time and remove entries we no longer need.

    Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your agreement to be contacted. Just email troop77geneva@icloud.com. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, if you live in the EU, your local data protection authority.
