July 2024 – Camp Alpine at Kandersteg
This July, Troop 77 together with Troop 130 spent an amazing week at Camp Alpine, held at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) in the Swiss Alps. Even though the weather wasn’t always on our side, we had a blast with many fun activities that gave all our Scouts an unforgettable experience.
Our Scouts also learned how to turn daily food deliveries for 45 people into well-organized meals and routines, how to set up a camp while also working on advancements. They also picked up practical skills, like avoiding burning their shoes while drying them by the campfire and the importance of closing their tents and keeping their shoes inside to ensure everything stays dry 😊.
Basecamp: For New Scouts
A hands-on introduction to Scouting skills like knot-tying, fire making, and first aid. Scouts work in patrols, earning stamps in their Basecamp Passport. Ideal for ages 10-12 and first-year campers.
